An Adventure for a Cause
Get ready for an exciting Journey across the Golden Triangle! The Hunt is a unique, community-driven event that combines adventure, puzzle-solving, and charitable giving—all while supporting local businesses in the Golden Triangle area.
This isn't your ordinary scavenger hunt. Participants will navigate to 12 different small businesses and 1 other undisclosed location, each holding a clue that brings you one step closer to the grand prize. From cryptic riddles to hidden codes, The Hunt will challenge your mind and guide you through the heart of our vibrant local community. Do you have what it takes to win the $3,000 Grand Prize?
How it Works
Start with a Cause: To begin your adventure, simply make a donation of at least $20 to the charity of your choice using one of the links below.
Solve the Clues: After your donation, you will receive an email confirmation with a link where you’ll select your starting city (West Point, Starkville, or Columbus). Once selected, you’ll receive your first clue, which leads to a small business in the Golden Triangle area. At each business stop, you’ll scan a QR code to unlock the next clue.
Crack the Code: As you progress, be on the lookout for hidden hints and clues that will lead you to unlock the final challenge.
Claim the Grand Prize: The first person to solve the puzzle and find the final location will win a $3,000 cash prize, provided by our generous corporate sponsors.
Win Additional Prizes: Special prizes will also be awarded at other stops throughout The Hunt, offering even more chances to win!
Things to Remember
The Hunt is 13 stops total: 12 local businesses and 1 non-business location in the Golden Triangle area. You will need to have made every stop and gathered every clue to be able to find the final location and claim the grand prize.
Clues will be released in stages to ensure a fair and challenging hunt. The first four clues will be available on Friday, March 21, and the remaining clues will be released in batches every Friday for the next three weeks.
There will be small “challenges” along the way, offering opportunities to win extra prizes. Each person is eligible to win up to three of these prizes during The Hunt, and may not win prizes at back to back locations. This does not include the grand prize.
All stops in The Hunt are located in public or accessible areas. No part of The Hunt will require trespassing, digging, or disturbing any property.
Please be aware that while most parts of The Hunt are easy to reach, at least one location may require navigating terrain that could be challenging for those with limited mobility or wheelchair users.
Save your clue pages—they may hold key details needed to crack the final puzzle.
While the clues leading to business stops are designed to be relatively easy to navigate, the final puzzle is intentionally very difficult—only the most determined and sharp-eyed participants will be able to solve it. Be prepared for a real challenge!
Some QR codes will be located inside the store, so be sure to check business hours before you make a trip.
Any participating business will have one of the following 2 decals on their front door. If you see the decal with a QR code, you can scan it for the next clue. If you see the other decal, you must proceed inside the business to find the QR code. If you do not see a decal on the business front door, then you are at the wrong place.
